1.  Reading Program at home:

Your child is encouraged to read in French at home daily.  To facilitate and encourage them to read, your child will receive $1 of school money for each minute read in French at home.  Please have your child write as follow in their agenda:  J’ai lu ___ minutes en français.  Sign and initial please.  Merci.

2.   Websites of the week:  Have your child explore this math site:  This is an excellent site to practice math skills all year around. Most of math curriculum is in there so a good way to practice the math skills.

This week we have explored the chromebooks.  Your child has successfully logged in with his/her at learn account. They should know their username and password, but just in case they don’t remember here is an example:

Please have your child show you the bookmark.  (website of École St.Luke)

Also, please write a note in your child’s agenda that you have seen the bookmark, your child will receive $10 of school money.

Opening School Year Mass:

Our school opening Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 25 at St.Luke Church. If you can volunteer to walk with the class to and from the church, please let me know. We would be leaving at approximately 9:20 a.m.

Les nouvelles de la semaine (7 au 14 septembre)

This week (Sept. 10 to 14), we will be working on activities getting to know each other and starting to work on our big idea:  It Takes a community of learners to educate a child.

Please take note that each student would benefit from having a box to store their supplies in the classroom as we have tables.
