Les nouvelles de la semaine (September 22)


Pizza Forms were sent home. Please sign and return the forms to school if you are interested.
Picture Day forms were sent home. Please take the time to fill out the picture form and return it to school. Picture Day will be on Friday, September 29.
Mme Colette’s grade 6 class is doing a Social Justice project for St Luke Feed the Hungry. Each class is being asked to collect non-perishable food items for the less fortunate of St Luke church for thanksgiving. Please give generously so that others may enjoy this special holiday.
Thursday September 28 is Spirit Day and Terry Fox Run at École St Luke. Students are asked to find the tackiest tie in dad’s closet. A collection of a “Toonie for Terry” will be ongoing until September 28. If dad doesn’t wear a tie, consider visiting the Goodwill store or make your own. Show your spirit and let’s have fun!
Book Order is due October 3.
Website of the week:  Have your child explore this math site:  http://www.nelson.com/mathfocus/grade3/student/. This is an excellent site to practice math skills all year around. Most of math curriculum is in there so a good way to practice the math skills.

Reading Program at home:
Your child is encouraged to read in French at home daily.  To facilitate and encourage them to read, your child will receive $1 of school money for each minute read in French at home.  Please have your child write as follow in their agenda:  J’ai lu ___ minutes en français.  Sign or initial please.  Merci.

Opening School Year Mass:

Our school opening Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 26 at St.Luke Church. If you are able to volunteer to walk with the class to and from the church, please let me know. We would be leaving at approximately 9:20 a.m.

Grade 3 2017-2018

Welcome to the Grade 3 BLOG.
